Sam Amadeo is the Development Coordinator at the Truman Center for National Policy and Truman National Security Project.
Prior to joining the Truman team, Sam worked in communications at Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement developing digital outreach for various campaigns including clean water and affordable healthcare. He also worked in communications for the Iowa Senate Democrats before joining the Iowa Democratic Party as their Deputy Finance Director where he cut his teeth and learned the ropes of development. A graduate of Political Science at Drake University, he served on the university’s newspaper as a reporter and editor.
Sam was born in Minneapolis but grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. His passions include history, traveling, and theater. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, playing kendama, and going to museums. His favorite TV show of all time is Psych.
