May 23, 2022, WASHINGTON D.C. - The Truman Center for National Policy is pleased to announce that United States Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield will be a featured speaker at TruCon 2023, our flagship annual conference on June 2.
“Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield’s many accomplishments and remarkable career distinguish her as a leading voice in national security,” said Truman President and CEO Jenna Ben-Yehuda. “We were thrilled to honor her with our Award for Exceptional Moral Courage in Public Service last year, and are pleased that she will return to TruCon to present the award to the new recipient, Congressman Jamie Raskin.”
In addition to presenting the award, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will participate in a live recording of Vox’s podcast The Weeds, discussing a range of issues she confronts at the United Nations, as well as her own career arc, with podcast host Jonquilyn Hill.
“I look forward to returning to TruCon 2023 to discuss some of the most pressing global issues that I have worked on for nearly four decades as a career diplomat. Having received Truman’s Award for Exceptional Moral Courage in Public Service last year was a great honor and I look forward to presenting this year’s award to Representative Raskin.”
TruCon 2023 is Truman’s largest annual gathering and one of the most prominent national security conferences in the United States. Open to the public and live-streamed, TruCon will also feature a keynote address by Rachel Maddow and panel discussion on topics ranging from diversity in national security to political polarization in the United States to the intersection of the CHIPS Act, industrial policy, and national security.
