Welton Chang

Welton Chang is a Psychology PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania. He served as an Army officer and Defense Department analyst from 2005 to 2014, with deployments including 21 months in Iraq and a year in South Korea.

Welton joined Truman as a Fellow with the class of 2012. He has shared his interest in psychology and decision-making with the broader Truman community in many ways, including member-led sessions at Truman’s annual conferences in 2014 and 2015 and a series of presentations to the DC and Philadelphia Chapters. Welton is also a frequent opinion piece contributor for numerous media outlets, including the veteran outlet Task & Purpose, edited by Truman Defense Council member Brian Jones.
